MISSION STATEMENT: Our mission at Tubridmore is to breed quality Angus Cattle that are easy calving with high performance, good growth rate and cattle that have all the Angus characteristics that the breed is famous for.
HERD: We have a number of strong families in the herd, notably the Rosa Erica and the Lady Blossom families, both of which are performing very well, producing cattle that have bought us success at both sales and shows.
BREEDING: AI is always the first port of call when putting cows and heifers in calf and we tend to use proven AI Bulls as much as possible such as Netherton Americano, Rawburn Boss Hogg, Rawburn Black Hawk, Rawburn Jaggar Eric, Intelagri Matteo, Liss Brendan, Wall Royal Leo etc. We also own a stock bull. This year we have a very interesting young stock bull by Sav Harvester and out of a cow called Blackcap Essence 7Y. He is exceptionally well built and carrying a powerful Angus head. We are using him to bring more shape into the herd. Will post photos later when work is done and he has lost the dirty hair of Winter.
SALES/SHOWSUCCESS: 2018 was a very successful year for us in the sales organised by the Munster Branch of the Irish Angus Society. We had the Reserve Champion in April with Tubridmore Prince Daniel and the Champion Bull at the May sale with Tubridmore Noble Nathan. We had the female Champion at the Premier Sale in March with Tubridmore Nicole and as well as both male and female Champions at the Society’s October sale with Tubridmore Prince John & Tubridmore Noble Brazilian. Prince John was the Champion at Kilmallock April 2019. Finally we had the 2018 Aldi All Ireland Junior Bull Calf Champion at the Iverk Show, Co.
