The third and final spring show & sale of Munster Branch of the Irish Angus Society was held at Kilmallock Mart on Saturday May 12th. There were 29 bulls forward from the 50 entered with the majority of the absent bulls sold prior the sale. Overall the sale saw 25 bulls (up 1 bull on last year) change hands (86% clearance) at an average of €2,350 (flat with last year).

The Munster branch were delighted to have Pat O’Donnell from Mitchelstown judge the pre sale show.

Pat selected Tubridmore Noble Nathen from the herd of Denis Twomey Causeway. Noble Nathen is a son of Rawburn Boss Hogg, the champion later sold for €3,200.

Killernan Padraig from the herd of Martin Hehir in Miltown Malbay in Clare was reserve Show Champion. Padraig is a son of Shadwell Jafar he later sold for €2,500.

Top price of the day went to Greenvalley Pharly from the herd of Pat Carmody Ballybunion. Pharly who won his class in the pre sale show is a son of Retties Jfk and he sold for €3,400
