This year show & sale had the largest entry since the autumn show & sale was started, where there were 32 top quality exhibits helping drive a 60% clearance with 19 of the 32 lots finding new homes on the night. The average on the night was €1,950 back slightly on 2018 average.
The branch were delighted and honoured to welcome Nigel Matchett of the Birches herd who travelled all the way from Portadown in Co Armagh to judge the show.

Nigel tapped forward Portauns R Gail 930 from the Portauns herd of John & Michael Lynch as the Show champion. This very stylist May 18 female is a daughter of Lisduff Dinky, on entering the sales ring Gail generated a huge flurry of bids and the hammer eventually dropped at €3,500.

The reserve champion was also from the Portauns herd, Portauns R Pretty and is a daughter of Portauns Volcano R703 (who is standing in Dovea). Pretty was born Mar 18 and she went on to sell for top price on the night of €3,800. Both the Champion & Reserve champion heifers were purchased by Albert & Jennifer De Cogan of the Mogeely herd

Cooltomin Patsy from the herd of Thomas Liston Ardagh in Limerick sold for €2,250. This daughter of Tubridmore Gizmo was sold incalf, due in Dec.
In the Male ring the there was one entry from the Carrigroe herd of John Applebe Clonakility. Carrigroe Rawburn a Nov 18 son of Lanigan Red Deep Canynon and was sold in the ring for €2,700
